WHO ARE WE AND WHAT DO WE DO?

The South Molton Vintage Rally Club has been going for over 30 years.

The club as well as encouraging the preservation and restoration of vintage vehicles and machinery we aim to generate monies for local and national worthy causes.

The main event is the annual South Molton Vintage Rally a 2 day event when we transform farmland into a show site At the rally there are displays and parades of cars, motorcycles, stationary engines, tractors and steam engines complimented by an array of refreshments and stalls.

The principal fund raising event is the rally weekend however we have other fund raising happenings during the year. We organise Bingo Evenings Car Boot Sales, Tombola stalls and Tractor Runs. We do all we can to “turn a shilling” as the Devonian adage, to try and generate monies to enable us to help others.

Some great news from our Tractor Marshall!

Getting close to this years rally, we will be celebrating 90 years since David Brown started producing tractors in 1936.

Its also 80 years since Harry Fergusons T20 came off the production line at Banner Lane Conventry on the 6th of July 1946, and as if we weren't busy with doing this its 50 years since the quiet cabs came along, so hopefully we will have a line of tractors with no cab, weather cab, roll bar, safety cab, and finally the quiet cab.

We have lots to see and we will have two tractors that the children can sit on and have their photo taken, and if they wish Mum and Dad can sit on them as well.

So come along look around the tractors please ask the owners any questions you like about their tractors they will be only to happy to speak to you.

And of course look around all the other sections, rides, working area, sheep show, trade stalls, steam, ect.

Look forward to seeing you on the 30th and 31st of May!
